Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS MRP Functional Consultant to support the design, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of Oracle E-Business Suite Manufacturing and MRP modules. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in Material Requirements Planning, Supply Planning, Manufacturing (WIP/BOM), and Inventory modules with hands-on experience in end-to-end implementations, requirement gathering, system configuration, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional Consulting & Implementation
- Lead Oracle EBS MRP module configuration, setup, and deployment.
- Manage end-to-end implementation activities including requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, and testing.
- Configure BOM, Routings, Item Attributes, Planners, Planning Parameters, Calendars, MRP Workbench, Safety Stock, and Lead Time setups.
MRP Planning & Execution
- Define MRP plans (MRP/MPS), netting logic, supply/demand rules, and forecasting integration.
- Analyze MRP exceptions, output reports, planned orders, buy/produce recommendations, and supply chain impacts.
- Optimize planning parameters and improve planning accuracy across manufacturing processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with business teams across Production, Procurement, Inventory, Purchasing, and Scheduling.
- Coordinate with technical teams for interfaces, extensions, reports, and customizations.
- Conduct business workshops, design walkthroughs, and functional training sessions.
Testing & Support
- Develop functional documents: MD50, BR100, AIM documentation, Test Scripts, and UAT support materials.
- Support SIT/UAT cycles, data validation, and MRP plan verifications.
- Provide post-production support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle EBS Manufacturing and MRP modules.
- Strong functional expertise in the following modules:
- MRP / MPS
- Bills of Material (BOM)
- Work in Process (WIP)
- Inventory (INV)
- Purchasing (PO)
- Deep knowledge of supply/demand planning logic, item attributes, lead times, and planning parameters.
- Experience creating, running, and validating MRP/MPS plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in root-cause analysis.
- Experience with AIM/OUM documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work with both business and technical teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Oracle ASCP or transition to Cloud Planning.
- Knowledge of WMS, Costing, and Shop Floor processes.
- Basic SQL knowledge for data extraction and troubleshooting.
- Experience in manufacturing industry (preferred: Discrete / High-tech / Automotive).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or equivalent field
