Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Frontend UI Developer with strong Java backend experience to lead the design and development of enterprise-scale web applications. The ideal candidate will play a key role in UI architecture, performance optimisation, and mentoring junior developers while working closely with product owners, UX teams, and backend engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of complex, responsive UI applications using Angular or React.
• Architect reusable UI components and frontend frameworks.
• Integrate UI with Java/Spring Boot micro services and REST APIs.
• Translate UX designs into scalable, maintainable frontend solutions.
• Drive UI performance optimisation and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Participate in system design, technical discussions, and architecture reviews.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers; conduct code reviews.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
• Ensure application security, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Act as the technical point of contact for frontend and UI-related decisions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and release planning.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of overall IT experience with a strong UI development background.
• Expert in JavaScript, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Hands-on with React in large enterprise apps.
• Experience building responsive and mobile-first web applications.
• Strong understanding of UI architecture and design patterns.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services.
• Understanding of micro services architecture and API integrations.
• Experience debugging backend-related UI issues.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure preferred.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, and JUnit).
• Experience with Node.js or BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) patterns.
• Experience with state management (Redux, NgRx).
• Knowledge of GraphQL.
• Experience with design systems and UI frameworks.
• Prior experience in regulated industries (Banking, Healthcare, Telecom).

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
