Hardware Engineer (I)

Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Salary: $65.00 USD Hourly - $75.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Hardware Engineer (I)

Project Overview:

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in hardware procurement, assembly, and validation for developmental labs.
• Track and manage hardware inventory across lab locations, ensuring availability for project timelines.
• Support domestic and international shipments of hardware and equipment.
• Partner with operations and product teams to ensure hardware readiness at the right location and time.
• Collaborate with 3PL providers and onsite mail services for large or oversized deliveries.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal safety regulations in lab environments.
• Provide technical support for hardware setup, troubleshooting, and lab equipment usage.
• Document and report on hardware lifecycle management, including storage and disposal.
• Contribute to cross-functional discussions to prevent hardware conflicts and optimize resource usage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in hardware engineering, lab operations, or technical support.
• Should have hardware safety testing experience.
• Familiarity with hardware validation, testing tools, and lab instrumentation.
• Strong organizational skills with experience in inventory or asset tracking systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of compliance and safety standards in technical environments preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience coordinating with vendors and suppliers for hardware procurement.
• Exposure to hardware lifecycle management (procurement ? deployment ? storage ? disposal).
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment setup and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-campus environment
