Be an integral part of an agile team that's constantly pushing the envelope to enhance, build, and deliver top-notch technology products.

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking Technology Team, you will play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your expertise and contributions will promote significant business impact, as you apply your deep technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to address a wide range of challenges across various technologies and applications.

Job responsibilities

  • Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
  • Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
  • Adds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • 10+ years of Java/J2EE application development experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS Web Services.
  • Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Demonstrated and extensive experience with Core Java including Java 17 and above as well as experience with annotation, enum, collections, streaming, multithreading, concurrency, regular expressions, functions etc.
  • Deep knowledge of core AWS services such as IAM, Redis Elastic Cache, Secret Manager, S3, EC2, VPC, RDS, Service Catalog, R53, NLB, ALB, EKS, SQS etc.
  • Strong experience with Spring including In-depth knowledge of Spring Framework for building SOAP/RESTful Web Services, MVC, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with IDE (Integrated Development Environment), including using Eclipse/IntelliJ for development and local testing/debugging.
  • Experience with Build and Integration Tools, including knowledge of JIRA, Maven, Git, Jenkins, GitHub and BitBucket.
  • Experience in development using Agile methodology.
  • Knowledge of Web Security including OAUTH2/ADFS, Kerberos, Cross Site Scripting and HTTP injection.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Basic understanding of servers, network, storage and databases.
  • Knowledge on Cassandra, Kafka, Spark would be highly desired.
  • Knowledge of orchestration services such as Cloudformation, Terraform.
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
  • Testing frameworks including Spring JUnit, Mockito, SmartSpecs and DBUnit.
  • Performance and log analysis tools including Dynatrace, Datadog and Splunk.
