Specialized Software Architect IV

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Specialized Software Architect IV. This is a contract opportunity based in Greenwood Village, CO, requiring an onsite presence four days per week.

Summary:
The client is looking for a SQL Data Analyst to join a high-impact analytics team focused on mobile and network data insights. This role works with large-scale datasets and supports data-driven decision-making across mobile Wi-Fi, client analytics, and network performance initiatives.

Responsibilities:
* Analyze and derive insights from very large datasets (billions of rows, petabyte-scale data)
* Write and optimize complex SQL queries, including heavy use of CTEs and window functions

Perform end-to-end analytics work, including:
* Data aggregation and exploration
* Light ETL development for proofs of concept
* Analytical deep dives and insight generation
* Presenting findings to stakeholders

* Work in a cloud-based big data environment, accessing data stored in object storage and distributed systems
* Use Python to support data analysis workflows and execute SQL (including PySpark-based execution)
* Partner with downstream data or pipeline teams to transition validated POCs into production-ready solutions
* Support basic visualizations and collaborate with visualization/BI teams for refined outputs
* Contribute to spatial or geospatial analysis efforts as needed (mapping, location-based insights)

REQUIREMENTS:
* Advanced SQL (CTEs, window functions, performance optimization)
* Strong data analysis experience with large-scale datasets
* Python for analytics and data workflows
* Experience working in AWS-based data environments (e.g., S3, EMR or similar)
* Familiarity with distributed computing/big data concepts
* Ability to take work from POC through insight delivery

Nice-to-Have Skills:
* PySpark
* GIS/spatial data analysis
* Tableau or similar BI/visualization tools
* Exposure to machine learning or ML-adjacent projects
* Knowledge of Hadoop/HDFS concepts

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
