Avanciers are seeking an experienced 401(k) Retirement Analyst to support the administration and ongoing operations of U.S. and Puerto Rico retirement plans. This role focuses on retirement plan administration, data analysis, reconciliation, participant support, and audit assistance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, advanced Excel expertise, and hands-on experience in retirement plan operations.

There is a strong possibility of assignment extension and potential conversion to full-time employment, though not guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative support for retirement benefit programs

• Perform data analysis, reconciliation, and internal process audits

• Partner with Payroll and external vendors to identify and resolve data and financial discrepancies

• Support contribution funding and asset reconciliation activities

• Run and analyze retirement-related reports

• Respond to employee retirement plan inquiries through the AskHR ticketing system

• Review and interpret retirement plan documents to ensure operational compliance

• Assist with annual 401(k) audits and respond to internal and external audit requests

• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and plan data

• Manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities

Required Qualifications (Must-Have Skills)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in 401(k) retirement plan administration

• Strong working knowledge of retirement plan concepts (loans, hardships, 5500 filings, etc.)

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and MS Office

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

• Knowledge of retirement regulations (IRS, DOL, ERISA)

• Experience with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred)

• Background working with benefit consultants, brokers, TPAs, or internal HR teams

• Pension or Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation (NQDC) experience is a plus
