Overview: We are seeking a talented Developer with expertise in Ansible and PowerShell to join our Store Recovery Project team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing automation solutions to support the recovery and restoration of store systems in the event of disruptions or failures. Your innovative solutions will ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency in our store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and workflows using Ansible, and PowerShell to automate the recovery and restoration of store systems.
- System Monitoring and Alerting: Implement monitoring solutions to detect system failures or disruptions in real-time. Develop alerting mechanisms to notify stakeholders and trigger automated recovery processes.
- Configuration Management: Manage system configurations and ensure consistency across store environments using Ansible playbooks and modules.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation enhancements. Proactively propose and implement improvements to streamline recovery procedures and minimize downtime.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including system administrators, network engineers, and security specialists to ensure the smooth implementation and integration of automation solutions.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing of automation scripts and workflows to ensure reliability, scalability, and compatibility with diverse store environments.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and support to team members on automation tools and best practices. Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7 years of experience in software development with proficiency in Ansible, and PowerShell.
- Strong understanding of automation principles and best practices.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible Tower or Puppet is preferred.
- Familiarity with store systems and retail operations is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
