Lead Power BI Dashboard Developer

Lead PowerBI Dashboard Developer will join the agency's data visualization systems team to design, develop, implement, and maintain advanced data visualization solutions supporting public health initiatives. This role focuses on mentoring junior developers, creating dashboards, and improving executive-level decision-making through accurate reporting, KPI tracking, and data modeling.

The developer will also document systems, maintain backend integrations, and support agency-wide PowerBI initiatives, including creating workflow diagrams, backend schemas, and data dictionaries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with analysts, integration staff, and program areas to ensure accurate and actionable data visualization.
• Develop, maintain, and support dynamic dashboards and underlying data models for health information systems.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on PowerBI solutions.
• Create and maintain system documentation, technical specifications, and project communications.
• Integrate solutions with agency electronic document management (EDM) and geographic information systems (GIS).
• Perform technical analysis, design, coding, testing, and upgrades of agency computer systems supporting health services.
• Support other applications as needed, adhering to IT development standards.

Critical Job Functions:

• Implement, maintain, and support PowerBI and Tableau applications.
• Ensure seamless integration with EDM and GIS systems.
• Communicate effectively across teams to translate data into actionable insights.
• Maintain documentation, including technical guides, workflow diagrams, and dashboards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of experience with Power BI
• 3+ years of experience with technical documentation
• 1+ year of experience with project management
• 1+ year of experience with data modeling

• Experience with graphic design
