NGS/Genomics Scientist

Hiring: Scientist Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)

Duration: 1year

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist with hands-on experience in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) to join our growing Bioinformatics and Sequencing team. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of biology, genomics, and technology, supporting drug target and biomarker discovery in a fast-paced, collaborative R&D environment.

What You'll Do

• Extract and prepare DNA and RNA from various sample sources
• Prepare DNA-seq, RNA-seq, and ATAC-seq libraries (bulk and/or single-cell)
• Perform quality control of samples and libraries (including qPCR)
• Execute NGS sequencing runs on Illumina and other platforms
• Troubleshoot library prep and sequencing workflows under supervision
• Maintain accurate records using ELN/LIMS systems (e.g., Benchling)
• Present scientific findings in team meetings and cross-functional forums
• Stay current with advances in genomics and NGS technologies

Basic Qualifications

• Master's degree OR
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of scientific experience OR
• Associate degree with 4+ years of scientific experience OR
• High school diploma with 5+ years of scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related field
• 2+ years of hands-on NGS experience
• Strong background in DNA/RNA extraction and library preparation
• Experience with Illumina sequencing platforms
• Familiarity with Benchling or other ELN/LIMS tools
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment
