Location: Remote, 10-20% travel
Contract Length: 3 year contract
Compensation: $60/HR-$75/HR based on experience
We're looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team supporting heavy industrial and power plant projects.
Requirements- Experience: 10+ years in heavy industrial/power plant projects OR accredited bachelor's & master's degree in engineering plus a Professional Engineering (PE) license
- License: Professional Engineering license required
Key Responsibilities- Provide structural engineering services and field support
- Prepare designs, calculations, and technical documentation
- Conduct site walk-downs and inspections of construction sites
- Develop cost estimates and material takeoffs
- Provide input on project schedules and staffing needs
- Produce and review structural steel design calculations and drawings
Skills & Expertise- Strong knowledge of structural steel and concrete design principles
- Extensive experience with structural steel connection design
- Proficiency with industry codes, standards, and OSHA regulations
- Deep understanding of heavy industrial structures and components
- Advanced computer skills, including STAAD PRO and other structural software
- Ability to manage multiple large, multi-discipline projects
- Skilled in performing structural inspections and writing detailed reports
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent collaboration skills with plant staff, engineering teams, and vendors
