Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to join the TCS team supporting Vanguard applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in IBM Mainframe technologies and be responsible for development, enhancement, and support of critical enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications
Work extensively with COBOL, CICS, JCL, and DB2
Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and production support
Debug and resolve production issues in a timely manner
Collaborate with onsite/offshore teams and business stakeholders
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
Support batch and online processing environments
Required Skills & Qualifications
8+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe Development
Strong expertise in COBOL (Batch & Online)
Solid experience with CICS, JCL, and DB2
Experience with VSAM and file handling
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Experience in financial services domain is a strong plus
Nice to Have
Experience working with Vanguard or similar financial clients
Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments
Knowledge of scheduling tools like CA7 / Control-M
