Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems that support enterprise applications and digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building microservices-based architectures using Java and Spring Boot, modernizing legacy systems, and deploying cloud-native solutions on AWS. This role requires deep backend engineering expertise, strong SQL/database knowledge, and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, high-performance application delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain microservices-based architectures for scalable and resilient systems.
- Modernize and refactor legacy systems into cloud-native, service-oriented solutions.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and database models using PostgreSQL and other relational databases.
- Integrate backend services with front-end and third-party systems via RESTful APIs.
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Ensure application security, scalability, and reliability following best engineering practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and product stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with legacy system modernization.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication, and backend security practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Educational Qualifications:
- Required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related or equivalent.
- Preferred - Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Big Data or Analytics or equivalent.
Travel:
· Open to travel based up on the nature of the engagement.
