The Teamcenter PLM Solution Architect is responsible for defining, designing, and implementing end-to-end PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions using Siemens Teamcenter. This role focuses on aligning engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise system processes to ensure digital continuity across the entire product lifecycle. The architect will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, PLM functional teams, and technical development teams to ensure that Teamcenter aligns with enterprise architecture guidelines, scalability requirements, and performance standards.
The responsibilities include leading the overall architecture, configuration, and customization of Siemens Teamcenter, translating business and engineering requirements into scalable functional and technical designs, and defining integration strategies between Teamcenter and systems such as SAP, Microsoft CRM, CAD platforms including NX, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD, and enterprise data lake environments. The architect will oversee the installation, configuration, and deployment of Teamcenter components, ensure alignment with PLM security models and compliance standards, and review all functional specifications, custom extensions, and integration designs produced by implementation partners.
This role requires close collaboration with SAP and Microsoft CRM architects to design integrations for material master data, BOMs, engineering change management, and document flows. The architect will work with engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to streamline ECN workflows and engineering-to-manufacturing processes. Additional responsibilities include reviewing data infrastructure, defining data management policies, establishing consistent data models and access patterns, and developing or maintaining APIs that support enterprise application and data requirements. The architect is accountable for the overall health, reliability, and quality of PLM-related solutions, systems, and platforms while maintaining strong working relationships with business stakeholders, BI teams, engineering groups, and technical staff across onsite and virtual environments.
  • The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience working with Siemens Teamcenter, including at least 5+ years in architecture or lead design roles.

  • They must have deep expertise in key Teamcenter modules such as Product Data Management, BOM Management, Change Management, Document Management, and Classification. Strong experience integrating Teamcenter with SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and major CAD tools is essential, along with a proven background in designing workflows, access models, and data schemas.

  • Familiarity with deploying PLM solutions in cloud or hybrid environments (AWS or Azure) is preferred.

  • The role requires strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills, along with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and ensure successful delivery of enterprise PLM solutions.
