End User Computing (EUC) Architect / Consultant

This is not a desktop support or break/fix role. It is a strategic, assessment-driven engagement with a strong focus on standardization, scalability, and future-state design. The work performed in this role will directly shape the organization s end-user computing strategy moving forward.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced End User Computing (EUC) Architect / Consultant to conduct an onsite assessment of a large enterprise end-user computing environment. This role is focused on evaluating current desktop and workspace configurations, identifying opportunities for standardization and optimization, and delivering clear, actionable recommendations that support scalability, reliability, and user productivity across all business units.
The ideal candidate will take a hands-on, consultative approach, working directly with existing hardware inventory, testing real-world user workflows, and leveraging analytics to inform future-state design decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the current end-user computing environment across a 3,300+ user corporate location
- Evaluate existing laptop platforms (Chromebook vs. Lenovo) and validate optimal device standards for different user personas and use cases
- Review and test current inventory of laptops, monitors, docking stations, and charging solutions to maximize reuse of existing assets
- Design and validate standardized desk configurations that are simple, reliable, and scalable
- Test proposed desk setups using real user workflows and applications
- Leverage Nexthink analytics to accelerate discovery, identify usage patterns, and support data-driven recommendations
- Create visual desk layout diagrams and configuration standards to support implementation and communication
- Document findings, recommendations, and future-state standards in a clear, executive-ready format
Key Deliverables
- Current-state assessment of the end-user compute and desk environment
- Recommended standardized device models and configurations by use case
- Validated desk layout designs (including monitors, docking, and charging)
- Data-supported analysis leveraging Nexthink insights
- Clear roadmap and recommendations for scalable deployment across business units
Required Experience & Skills
- Strong background in End User Computing (EUC), endpoint architecture, or workplace technology consulting
- Experience evaluating and standardizing laptop platforms, peripherals, and desk environments at enterprise scale
- Hands-on experience testing and validating endpoint solutions in real-world environments
- Ability to translate technical findings into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in large corporate or retail enterprise environments
