Key ResponsibilitiesSite IT Operations & Support- Manage and maintain all site IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and network resources across non-manufacturing, research, and advanced engineering sites in Southeast Michigan.
- Ensure robust field operations support for an exceptional employee technology experience.
Project & Initiative Implementation- Oversee local deployment of global IT initiatives, including technology upgrades and refresh programs, ensuring successful integration at the site level.
Business Relationship Management- Act as the primary IT contact for local teams and business customers, fostering strong relationships and ensuring IT services meet evolving needs.
- Serve as the voice of the customer to influence IT strategy and enhance employee experience.
Local Project Management- Lead site-specific IT projects funded by local business units or skill teams, from initiation through completion.
Team Leadership & Development- Potentially manage and mentor Level 2 support staff, promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Security & Compliance- Ensure adherence to IT security policies and compliance standards, safeguarding data and network access.
Problem Resolution & Continuous Improvement- Identify IT issues, implement strategic solutions, and drive initiatives to improve service delivery and efficiency.
Required Skills- IT Operations, Infrastructure Management, Hardware/Software Installation
- Networking (DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Cisco), Active Directory
- Cybersecurity, Compliance, Backup & Recovery
- Project Management, Change Management, ITSM (e.g., ITIL)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Customer service and relationship management
Experience Required- 3-5 years of progressive experience in IT operations or infrastructure management
- Proven support experience in non-manufacturing, research, or advanced engineering environments
- Background in project management and ITSM frameworks
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Certifications: ITIL, PMP, Cisco, Microsoft, AWS
- Experience with advanced engineering tools and R&D environments
- Familiarity with Ford's IT ecosystem and corporate culture
