SAP Funds & Grants Management (FM/GM) Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Funds & Grants Management (FM/GM) Consultant to support implementation, enhancement, and ongoing support of SAP solutions for public sector and grant-based financial processes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP FM, Grants Management, and Controlling (CO-PA), with hands-on experience working with government or public sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP Funds Management (FM) and Grants Management (GM) modules.
• Design and implement grant lifecycle processes, including budgeting, fund allocation, execution, and reporting.
• Integrate FM/GM with FI, CO, and CO-PA to ensure accurate financial tracking and compliance.
• Support budget availability control (AVC), funds control, and grant reporting requirements.
• Work closely with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Perform system testing, UAT support, issue resolution, and post-go-live support.
• Provide documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to client teams.
• Support enhancements and regulatory compliance related to public sector finance and grants.

Required Skills & Experience 

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Funds Management (FM) and Grants Management (GM).
• Experience with SAP Controlling (CO), including CO-PA.
• Solid understanding of public sector financial processes and grant accounting.
• Experience integrating FM/GM with FI and CO modules.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid onsite/offsite model.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience working with SAP America or large SAP system integrators.
• Prior experience supporting state or government agencies.
• SAP certification in Public Sector Management (PSM) or Financial Accounting.
• Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA Public Sector solutions
