Your role Your Role as a Manufacturing Process Engineer As a vital member of our team at National Vacuum Equipment (NVE), you will take a hands-on approach to optimizing and streamlining our manufacturing processes. Your core responsibility includes reviewing and improving the throughput of products by expertly leveraging diverse manufacturing workflows and cutting-edge technologies. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the deployment of both established and innovative procedures with a primary focus on fostering continuous improvement.
- Systematically collect and analyze production and process data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for efficiency gains.
- Lead the design, testing, and implementation of system upgrades to boost production performance while maintaining strict quality standards.
- Provide expert troubleshooting for challenges arising from customer feedback, procedural gaps, or operational issues with existing or new products.
- Champion waste reduction initiatives by creating and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) that promote sustainable manufacturing practices.
- Offer comprehensive support to production teams to maintain seamless manufacturing activities and resolve any on-floor issues rapidly.
- Develop detailed time studies that inform the creation of SOPs, validate optimized routing, and drive process standardization.
- Contribute actively to safety programs and quality audits, ensuring all manufacturing activities comply with regulatory and internal standards.
- Lead and design tailored training programs that help production staff understand and execute efficient process workflows.
- Collaborate closely with design engineering teams to enhance product manufacturability and introduce practical improvements that reduce costs and improve overall product quality.
- Provide cross-functional technical support when required, enhancing synergy within the organization to meet production goals.

To succeed, you will need To succeed, you will need: - 3 to 5 years of relevant experience within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating measurable process improvements.
- Solid understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles, supported by strong mechanical design capabilities.
- A proven track record in Industrial Engineering, including tooling and fixture design proficiency.
- Effective project management skills with a consistent ability to deliver projects on schedule while juggling multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using Inventor and/or SolidWorks for design tasks and expertise in leveraging ERM systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, facilitating clear collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous learning on the manufacturing floor.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
