Tier4 Group has an Immediate need for a Senior Network Security Engineer who loves clean architectures, locked-down edges, and networks that just don’t go down. You’ll join a healthcare IT firm delivering secure, reliable infrastructure so providers can focus on what really matters—exceptional patient care, not IT fires.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Network Engineer with a security-first focus, you’ll be the technical leader for client environments—designing resilient networks, solving complex problems, and partnering with IT leadership to maintain uptime and compliance.

·         Design and support LAN/WAN and wireless networks using Ubiquiti, Meraki, Cambium, Aruba, Cisco, and Ruckus

·         Configure and maintain next-gen firewalls including SonicWall, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Meraki

·         Implement VLAN segmentation, VRFs, multi-tenant designs, and 802.1X controls

·         Deploy secure Wi-Fi using xPSK and RADIUS (WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise, EAP-TLS)

·         Support Zero Trust initiatives and reduce traditional VPN reliance

·         Perform threat detection using NetFlow, Auvik, and firewall analytics

·         Maintain documentation, baselines, backups, and SIEM integrations

·         Serve as Tier 3 escalation and mentor junior engineers

What You Bring

·         7+ years of hands-on network and security engineering experience

·         Strong routing, switching, firewall, and wireless expertise

·         Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, NAT, DNS, WAN technologies

·         Experience securing environments with 802.1X, ACLs, IDS/IPS, DNS filtering

·         Experience with Auvik or similar monitoring tools

·         Excellent troubleshooting and client-facing communication skills

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

·         On-site availability in Johns Creek / Alpharetta with ~10% travel
