Java Backend Developer

Location-Alpharetta, GA(Locals Only)

Introduction:

As a Java Backend Developer  in Alpharetta, GA, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Java/J2EE applications utilizing the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). You will work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure high-quality software development, automation, and testing.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Java/J2EE applications using Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Utilize Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, BigTable, Firestore, PubSub, and Vertex AI for data management.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Nx build management, Fortify, Sonar, and GitHub.
• Work on infrastructure as code using Terraform, Helm Charts, and GitOps workflows.
• Collaborate in Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Analyze and debug complex software to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Participate in application re-architecture and software patterns like Strangler and Adapter.
• Implement various data storage systems including Relational and NoSQL databases.
• Optimize distributed computing, performance tuning, and component-level architecture.

Requirements:

Key mandatory skills include:

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Java/J2EE design and development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Framework 6.x.x, Spring Boot 3.x.x, and Microservices architecture.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Java (JDK 17+), NestJS 10.x.x, NodeJS, and REST and GraphQL microservices.
• Data expertise with BigQuery, BigTable, Firestore, GCS, PubSub, Vertex AI, Dataflow + Apache Beam, Composer + Airflow, and Data Fabric concepts.
• CI/CD experience using tools like Jenkins, Nx build management, Fortify, Sonar, and GitHub.
• Knowledge of modern SDLC including CI/CD, source control (Git/SVN), and build tools (Maven).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (GKE).
• Strong analytical and debugging skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex software.
• Experience in application re-architecture, re-platforming, and software patterns like Strangler and Adapter.
• Solid understanding of various data storage systems: Relational and NoSQL.
• Experience with distributed computing, performance tuning, and component-level architecture.
