We are looking for a senior-level Technical Business Analyst to join our Equities trading and analytics platform team. You will be the primary architect of requirements for our order execution and data modeling initiatives.
This role is not purely administrative; we need a "Hands-on" analyst who understands the mechanics of a trade, the structure of a database, and the nuances of the FIX protocol.

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Order Management & FIX Integration: Define and document workflows for order execution systems. You will be responsible for mapping FIX Protocol messages (tags/fields) and ensuring seamless order flow between our platform and external liquidity providers.
- Data Modeling & Architecture: Work closely with Data Engineers to design and refine Reference Data schemas. You must understand how to model Equities financial instruments within a relational database.
- UI/UX & User Workflows: Lead the design of user-centric workflows for our trading dashboards. You will translate trader needs into wireframes and functional specs that optimize for speed and clarity.
- Reference Data Management: Act as the subject matter expert for mastering and distributing reference data, ensuring high data quality for both real-time trading and downstream analytics.
- Technical Project Management: Own the lifecycle of specific features. You will manage the backlog, lead sprint planning, and bridge the gap between business stakeholders and the Python engineering team.
Technical Skill Requirements - Databases & SQL: Advanced SQL skills are mandatory. You must be able to perform complex joins, analyze data distribution, and understand database normalization/indexing.
- FIX Protocol: Deep functional knowledge of the FIX Protocol (4.2, 4.4, or 5.0), including session management and application-level messaging for orders and executions.
- Data Modeling: Experience with logical and physical data modeling. You should be comfortable explaining the difference between a Star Schema and a normalized relational model.
- UX Design: Experience in creating user journey maps and wireframes (using tools like Figma or Balsamiq) specifically for data-heavy financial applications.
Domain Experience - Capital Markets / Finance: Significant experience in an Equities trading environment (Buy-side or Sell-side).
- Order Management Systems (OMS): Proven track record working on or implementing OMS/EMS platforms.
- Reference Data Mastery: Experience with security master systems, corporate actions, and pricing data.
Preferred Qualifications - Ability to read/understand Python code to better communicate with developers.
- Some experience with AI/Machine Learning projects in a financial context (e.g., predictive execution or anomaly detection in trading).
- Certifications in Agile (CSPO) or Financial Analysis (CFA/FRM) are a plus.
