Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Service Engineer (Azure SRE) with 7 10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering and a strong background in High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in managing complex distributed systems, integrating third-party applications, and ensuring seamless operations across HPC and PLM platforms. This role requires exceptional problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive approach to onboarding and supporting HPC workloads.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Experience

Development: Minimum 3 years experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI/Bash, Go, or Python.
Administration: 7+ years in system administration focusing on HPC and PLM infrastructure.
Strong expertise in:
Windows Server & Linux administration
Virtual Machines & VM Scale Sets (VMSS)
HPC platform support

Professional Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to manage backlogs, drive improvements, and deliver efficient solution designs.

Preferred Attributes

Passion for HPC technologies and large-scale infrastructure optimization.
Fast learner with the ability to adopt new tools and frameworks quickly.
Strong analytical approach and problem-solving mindset.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead integration and provide operational support for third-party applications on HPC and PLM environments.
Manage and maintain Windows Server and Linux OS, including VM and VMSS workloads.
Configure and optimize HPC schedulers such as:
Windows HPC Pack
OpenPBS
Slurm
Or similar HPC workload managers
Support distributed computing workloads including MPI-based jobs.
Troubleshoot and optimize networking components, including:
TCP/IP
DNS/name resolution
RDMA networks
Implement and manage Azure CycleCloud and Azure Batch for HPC orchestration.
Collaborate with application and engineering teams to understand infrastructure dependencies and improve performance.
Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational best practices.
