Summary

Senior Program Governance Lead – Cloud Data Engineering
Location: New Jersey | Onsite 5 days/week
Requirement: Prior Property & Casualty Insurance project experience is mandatory

Role Summary
Own governance of a large-scale cloud data engineering program for a US P&C insurer. Responsible for program health, delivery alignment, risk management, and financial tracking. Acts as the bridge between US client leadership and global delivery teams.

Responsibilities

Establish program governance framework, SteerCos, reporting, and escalation models
Track milestones across data ingestion, transformation, and BI workstreams
Identify and mitigate delivery, technical, and operational risks
Serve as primary client-facing governance lead for status, budget, and resourcing
Coordinate across client IT teams and offshore/nearshore delivery
Manage scope changes, priorities, and timeline negotiations
Track resource utilization, KPIs, and SLAs (pipeline uptime, data quality, etc.)
Own budget tracking, forecast vs actuals, and SOW renewals

Required Experience

12+ years in Program Management / Governance (global, multi-vendor environments)
Strong US P&C Insurance domain knowledge (Claims, Policy, Agency data)
Experience governing cloud data programs on AWS, Azure, or Snowflake
Familiarity with regulatory standards (CCPA, HIPAA)

Tools & Skills

Jira, Confluence, MS Project
Power BI or Tableau for governance dashboards
Solid understanding of ETL/ELT, data lakes, and data warehouse architectures
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
