Project Description:
The customer is looking for a Scrum Master
Responsibilities:
Optimize the flow of value from idea generation to release.
Coach your team(s) to create high-value items, while eliminating or reducing rework and
waste in the process.
Promote transparency on barriers to change and progress; remove or seek assistance in
addressing impediments and opportunities.
Enable your team(s) to practice Professional Scrum and other frameworks/techniques that
drive agility.
Cultivate a habit of continuous learning (from prior increments, retrospectives, etc.),
continuous experimentation, and continuous improvement to reach a high-performing state.
Coach your team(s) to understand the "why" and practice new ways of working.
Serve as internal trainers contributing to the learning and development of one or more
team(s).
Coach Engineering and Product team with techniques for establishing empirical product
planning, maintaining a healthy Product Backlog, and gathering complete product
requirements to ensure no gaps exist.
Maintain, share, and promote information radiators that enable inspection and adaptation.
Coach teams to self-organize and facilitate events, as necessary.
Provide delivery leadership by ensuring proper execution of work items, proactively removing
roadblocks, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet commitments.
Mandatory Skills Description:
Top 3 Mandatory Skills and Experience: Agile Coaching & Facilitation - Ability to promote transparency within the team and stakeholders. - Skilled at enabling and coaching teams to adopt new ways of working, fostering autonomy and self-organization. Delivery Leadership and Process Optimization - Strong project management skills to ensure proper delivery of work items, including leading the team, gathering detailed information, and proactively removing roadblocks. - Expertise in reducing rework and waste through continuous improvement practices. Product Ownership Support - Experience coaching and assisting Product Owners in creating product increment plans and maintaining a healthy backlog. - Ability to help Product Owners gather product requirements, validate completeness, and identify gaps early to prevent issues downstream.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of
education and work experience.
6+ years of relevant work experience in an agile environment.
Experience coaching agile methodologies to team and stakeholders.
Skills and knowledge of servant leadership, situational awareness, conflict resolution,
continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
Proven ability to promote a team environment and collaborate cross-functionally.
Experience driving adoption of Agile methodologies, processes, and tools in a cross-functional organization.
Superior analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Demonstrated experience with continuous integration/delivery.
Participation in scaled agile frameworks.
Scrum Master Expertise: Hold a recognized Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PSM, or SSM) and demonstrate strong experience in using Agile frameworks to manage work queues and adapt to unpredictable tasks.
Infrastructure Knowledge: Basic understanding of key infrastructure concepts, including
virtualization, cloud platforms, networking, and IT operations.
Performance Metrics: Proficient in tracking and reporting on critical metrics such as system
uptime, mean time to recovery (MTTR), deployment frequency, and incident resolution times.
ITIL Certification (Preferred): ITIL 4 Certification is highly desirable to ensure alignment with IT
service management best practices.
Work Item Management Tools: Experience using Azure DevOps Boards for organizing and
managing teamwork items.
ServiceNow Proficiency: Familiarity with ServiceNow for managing workflows and operational
tasks.
Language and Communication Skills
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels within the
organization.
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
Nice to Have Skills and Experience (preferred but not required): 1) Experience working with multiple squads and Product Owners, including offshore teams. 2) Ability to manage dependencies and risks across teams and products. 3) Familiarity with airline or crew domain products.
