About the Role Texas Capital Bank is seeking a Network Security Engineer with deep expertise of web proxy and content filtering. Additional knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, DDoS mitigation, and network and cloud architecture is highly preferred. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage security controls for the Texas Capital on premise and cloud networks, ensuring robust protection against evolving web threats and supporting secure business operations.
Key Responsibilities - Optimizing web proxy policies, governance, and posture across all Texas Capital networks.
- Coordinated partnership with Enterprise Browser Security Team's design, deployment, and management solutions.
- Serve as an escalation point to the SOC for network security-based events and anomalies.
- Policy Development: Develop and enforce security policies for browser usage, network protection, application control, and privilege management.
- Automation & Integration: Automate network security controls and privilege management solutions with SIEM, SOAR, and other security platforms.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT, application, and security teams to ensure secure deployment and operation throughout the network including cloud tenants.
- User Awareness: Support security awareness initiatives related to safe browser, network, and application usage.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for security configurations, incident response, and operational procedures.
Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP or vendor-specific network security certifications are a plus.
- Experience:

- Minimum 8 years in information security, security infrastructure, or technical services.
- 5+ years of direct experience with web proxy technologies.
- 2+ years firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAFs, DDoS mitigation highly desired.
- Experience with application privilege management tools and enforcing least privilege principles.
- Strong background in networking, routing, TCP/IP.
- Experience with network and cloud architecture, network segmentation, policy enforcement, and governance in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
- Experience integrating network security technologies with SIEM/SOAR platforms.
- Technical Skills:

- Deep understanding of network-based attacks with emphasis on web threats and mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and mobile network security best-practices.
- Familiarity with cloud-based browser security solutions is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of industry security standards and guidelines. Such as NIST, CSF, RMO.
- Strong knowledge of security technology, such as firewalls, detection/prevention systems, and encryption.
- Strong ability to translate architectural requirements and design into implementation.
- Strong ability to design, develop and implement security controls to mitigate risk.
- Strong ability to obtain, analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources, including performance and risk metrics.
