Senior Cloud Database Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Cloud Database Engineer in Boston, MA.

REQUIREMENTS:
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
* 10+ years in developing and solutioning using RDBMS development and procedural language
* 5+ years of solutioning and development with ETL technologies
* 5+ years of data modelling on OLTP and data warehouse
* 5+ years of Data Warehouse and Reporting and Analytics platforms like Snowflake
* Experience in AWS Cloud environments (DMS, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Glue with Scala or Python, RDS like Oracle and PostgreSQL, etc.)
* Strong experience developing in an Agile team setting (Kanban and/or SCRUM)
* Experience working in a DevOps and CI/CD environment
* Strong understanding of API development experience with large scale, highly available Enterprise class platforms
* Knowledge of NoSQL databases like DynamoDB
* Containerization and Orchestration technologies
* Application web server technologies
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization
* Passion and intellectually curious to learn new technologies and business areas
* Ability to think out of box and design end-to-end solutions
* Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:
* 2+ years of Java development experience preferred
* 2+ years of microservices architecture & development preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
