Packet Core Engineer (4G/5G)

Duration: 12 Months Contract (Hybrid: 3 days onsite every week)
Location: Ellenwood, GA (Locals Only)

Work Schedule
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite Ellenwood, GA, 2 days remote.
- Travel may be required Up to 1x per quarter to Tysons, VA (reimbursement will be provided)
- Standard business hours with occasional after-hours support for critical testing or upgrades.

Purpose
The purpose of this engagement is to provide engineering expertise in testing, validation, and integration of mobile packet core networks (4G/5G) in support of SES s ongoing projects and service deployments.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-4 years of hands-on experience with packet core (EPC/5GC).
- College Degree strongly preferred
- Familiarity and understanding of 3GPP standards (Release 15 18).
- Experience with Mavenir, Druid, or equivalent cores.
- Proficiency with Wireshark, tcpdump, and other analysis tools.
- Familiarity with Spirent Landslide, Keysight, IXIA, Viavi, CMX 500, or equivalent.
- Scripting/automation skills (Python preferred, but will consider any scripting language as other can be learned).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Any routing platform experience; agnostic to the platform (cisco, juniper, etc.)
- CCNA or JNCA certifications preferred, but not required
- BGP and IP are a nice to have
