Job Title: Software Test Engineer
Job Location: Atlanta, GA (On-site 5 days/week)
Duration: 6 Months (with possible extension based on business needs)
Description:
AgreeYa is a global systems integrator and is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our growing team in Atlanta, GA. This role focuses on hands-on test execution, software validation, and certification to ensure overall software readiness. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical testing experience, attention to detail, and a quality-driven mindset to support high-impact software initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accomplish test procedures and/or test scripts using manual and automated testing tools.
- Supervise test execution activities and report progress in a timely manner, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Capture, document, and maintain detailed test execution results to support metrics, risk assessment, defect tracking, and test coverage reporting.
- Analyze test reports and discrepancies to identify root causes and evaluate test script failures at a high level.
- Compare and analyze system behavior against expected results, business requirements, and key technical metrics.
- Identify defects, propose system improvements, and perform repetitive test execution to validate fixes and improvements.
- Participate in and contribute to internal design reviews of testing strategies, test plans, and test materials.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Systems Analysis, or a related field.
- Proven experience and knowledge of software testing methodologies, testing tools, and programming concepts.
- Hands-on technical experience in testing software projects, including execution, validation, and defect analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand business and technical requirements.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with test reporting, metrics, and quality assurance best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site team environment.
Education Required:
- Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
