As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Team, Operations Technology - Service Product, you will be guiding engineers, overseeing daily tasks, and establishing direction for team output, practices, and collaboration.
Job responsibilities - Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
- Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
- Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
- Manages stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
- Adds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills - Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in modern programming languages, with a strong emphasis on Java and Spring Boot, including designing, developing, and maintaining robust software applications using industry best practices and contemporary frameworks
- Proven experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-based applications and services; hands-on expertise with Terraform for infrastructure as code; and practical experience with AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service) and ECR (Elastic Container Registry) for container orchestration and management
- Experience in front end development, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with Reacts JS.
- Experience leading technology projects
- Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Practical cloud native experience
- Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills - Experience working at code level
- AWS Certifications/Experience
