Overview This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. Open to remote in several markets for highly qualified candidates.
This role is responsible for producing proprietary research and thought leadership that focuses on the trends, behaviors, and decision-making of sectors, investors, and companies driving the innovation economy. Our exclusive research and analysis elevate sales teams' client engagements and prospecting efforts, support client decision-making, and amplify the Bank's brand.
Market Insights produces a wide range of thought leadership, from short articles to in-depth reports covering topics that range from Climate Tech to Fintech, as well as custom analyses.
Responsibilities - Data Analysis - Gather qualitative and quantitative data from various informational sources, including external surveys and qualitative interviews. Apply a thoughtful approach to statistical analysis, financial and economic principles, and data visualization to produce valuable, relevant, and actionable insights
- Research & Reporting - Contribute to high quality, data-driven reports, articles, and presentations to highlight proprietary analysis and commentary.
- Business Collaboration - Build relationships with subject matter experts across the bank and industry to identify research topics and trends. Partner with cross-functional teams to execute data analysis, to build effective engagement activities internally, to design and produce insights, to develop content that is fit for purpose and aligns to business and sales priorities, and to successfully activate insights externally. Collaborate with the Market Insights team, fostering and adhering to best practices, professional development, attainment of individual and team goals, and a commitment to excellence.
- Editorial Calendar Management - Own and drive the development and execution of the editorial calendar, including strategic, scheduled reports and tactical, reactive insights as needed
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience in Research, Statistical Methodology, Data Analysis, or Database Maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 9 years of experience in Research, Statistical Methodology, Data Analysis, or Database Maintenance
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in Economics, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, or Public Health
- Experience in Venture Capital, Banking, Financial Technologies, Journalism, Research in Life Science or Healthcare
- Financial acumen including profit & loss management, business case development, budget management, and understanding of general finance, accounting principles, and reporting
- Ability to correctly assess business opportunities or problems, establish financial implications, and evaluate decisions, Industry networking ability to assess and share best practices in client data management
- Operational and sales experience, including all aspects of customer data base management
- Strong MS Excel, Tableau, and Pitchbook skills
- Power BI and or CB Insights skills a plus
- Written, presentation and visual communication skills
- Project management, including establishing priorities and meeting swift deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, Influence and relationship building skills
