Field Technician - Central Office Work

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Central Office Technicians to support a large-scale telecommunications project focused on the shutdown and decommissioning of central offices. This is a field-based role requiring frequent travel, hands-on technical work, and comfort working with legacy telecommunications equipment.

All travel expenses are fully covered by the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Work onsite at central offices to support decommissioning and shutdown projects

• Remove and dismantle legacy telecommunications equipment, including telephone switches and related infrastructure

• Perform physical work including lifting, carrying, and equipment removal

• Follow safety procedures and job site requirements at all times

• Document completed work and report progress as required

• Travel extensively to project sites as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience working in central offices or similar telecommunications environments

• Hands-on experience with legacy telecom equipment (telephone switches, racks, cabling, etc.)

• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently

• Valid driver s license and reliable transportation

• Ability to pass a basic Excel skills assessment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting decommissioning or shutdown projects

• Field-based telecommunications or infrastructure background

• Lead or senior technician experience (for lead openings)

Compensation & Benefits

• $30 $34 per hour, depending on experience

• All travel expenses covered

• $250 referral bonus

• Consistent full-time schedule
