Job Title: Data Scientist / Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: San Diego, CA
Overview:
Rivet Operations Company is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to support Business Intelligence (BI), data warehousing, reporting, and Business Objects Enterprise (BOE) operations for Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRC SW). This position plays a key role in data modeling, dashboard development, testing, documentation, and system optimization in support of enterprise reporting and analytics.
Responsibilities:
Business Intelligence & Data Modeling
Assess and optimize the BI environment to support information discovery and cross?FRC integration.
Develop, test, and deploy interactive data dashboards using performance metrics.
Deliver as?built technical architecture and a comprehensive Technical Design Document (TDD).
Analyze business processes and develop logical/physical data models.
Identify data elements, metadata, and data sources to support reporting requirements.
BOE / Data Warehouse Support
Maintain day?to?day operations of BOE, Corporate Reporting System (CRS), and related BI systems.
Develop technical specifications for converting Discoverer/Oracle reports to BOE.
Collaborate with data modelers, ETL teams, and developers to ensure accurate data integration.
Create Universes, reports, charts, and coordinated changes with Universe Designers.
Conduct SQL?based analysis to troubleshoot data issues and support lifecycle documentation.
Functional SME & User Support
Produce System Design Documents and maintain BOE security access.
Facilitate Enterprise User Groups and maintain Report User Group (RUG) priority lists.
Train users in BOE ad?hoc reporting and provide enterprise?wide customer support.
Maintain data dictionary of 6,000+ BOE reporting fields.
Attend and document OneNDMS requirements meetings; deliver reports within one business day.
System Administration
Monitor BOE application servers and cluster environments.
Troubleshoot BOE, IBM HTTP IHS, and proxy server issues.
Document installation and patching processes.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Develop Project Plans, Test Plans, and Implementation Plans.
Establish test criteria and participate in system acceptance testing.
Develop and execute integration test protocols for configuration changes and updates.
Analyze test results, initiate corrective actions, and update technical documentation.
Development & Troubleshooting
Develop efficient BOE Universes, dashboards, reports, and regression test scripts.
Perform cross?database data analysis to identify and resolve data anomalies.
Update ETL mapping specifications and assist with stored procedure revisions.
Provide LOE estimates, schedule inputs, and ensure compliance with government standards.
Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
7 years experience with SAP Business Objects, Universe Design, SQL, data modeling, and BI tools.
Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data governance.
Experience supporting large?scale or government reporting systems preferred.
Ability to create detailed technical documentation and communicate with cross?functional teams.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
Experience with IA / INFOSEC concepts and requirements: Firewall Policy, Ports & Protocols, Cybersecurity, Cybersafe, and DoD A&A processes and standards.
Minimum Baseline Certification: CompTIA Security+ or IAT Level II equivalent.
Security:
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for the position. Eligibility requirements include ship.

Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting up to 25 lbs.

Posted Salary Range
USD $140,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
