About the Role
We are hiring a Azure Platform Engineer
??? Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation
Expert Terraform Proficiency: Advanced experience with Terraform (HCL) for provisioning end-to-end Azure infrastructure. This includes creating reusable modules, managing remote state, and handling complex provider configurations.
CI/CD Integration: Proven ability to integrate Terraform into automated pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) to manage the plan/apply lifecycle.
State Management & Security: Deep understanding of Terraform state locking and securing sensitive variables using Azure Key Vault.
?? Advanced Azure Networking
Enterprise Topology: Mastery in designing and implementing Hub-and-Spoke network architectures, including VNET Peering and Global VNET Peering.
Hybrid Connectivity: Hands-on experience with Azure ExpressRoute, Site-to-Site VPNs, and Azure Bastion for secure cross-premises communication.
Security & Segmentation: Expertise in Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Application Security Groups (ASGs).
Traffic Management: Proficiency in configuring Azure Application Gateway (with WAF), Load Balancers, and Private Links/Endpoints.
?? Azure Storage & Compute
Storage Services: Comprehensive knowledge of Blob Storage, Azure Files, and Disk Storage, including tiered storage strategies (Hot/Cool/Archive).
Resiliency: Implementation of storage redundancy and data protection using Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
Compute Management: Expert-level management of Azure Virtual Machines, Scale Sets (VMSS), and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
? Plus: Terraform Enterprise (TFE) & Governance
Policy as Code: Experience implementing Sentinel or Open Policy Agent (OPA) within TFE to enforce compliance, security, and operational guardrails before code is applied.
Private Module Registry (PMR): Ability to manage an internal library of versioned, verified modules to ensure consistency and speed across different engineering teams.
Workspace Management: Mastery of TFE Workspaces, including VCS integration (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket), remote execution, and managing team-based permissions/RBAC.
Run Tasks & Notifications: Configuring TFE "Run Tasks" to integrate third-party security or cost-analysis tools into the deployment workflow.
Cost Estimation: Leveraging TFE s native cost estimation features to provide visibility into projected infrastructure spend during the plan phase.
Hourly Rate: 65$-70$ per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
