We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead and own three mission critical platforms across our enterprise:

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Kubernetes Leadership (Primary, ~50%)
1. Lead the enterprise Kubernetes migration effort, including cluster architecture, deployment patterns, workload migration, governance models, and operational best practices.
2. Design, implement, and manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters (on premises or cloud).
3. Establish and maintain solutions for cluster lifecycle management, backup/restore, monitoring, scaling, and security hardening.
4. Work with development teams to containerize applications, optimize workloads, and ensure reliable deployments.
5. Implement robust observability solutions (metrics, logs, traces) and performance optimization strategies.
6. Define and maintain Kubernetes policies, RBAC, network controls, and compliance standards.
GitLab Platform Ownership (~25%)
1. Administer, optimize, and support the on prem GitLab instance, ensuring availability, reliability, and performance.
2. Manage upgrades, patching, authentication (LDAP/SSO/SAML), permissions, and runner capacity.
3. Oversee and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines used heavily by development teams.
4. Implement backup/DR strategies, usage monitoring, and security controls.
5. Integrate GitLab with other enterprise tools and automate administrative tasks through scripting.
Azure DevOps (ADO) SME (~25%)
1. Own Azure DevOps environments including Azure Repos and Azure Pipelines.
2. Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Windows and Azure focused development teams.
3. Implement branching strategies, code policies, build automation, testing integration, and secure deployment patterns.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline, agent, configuration, and deployment issues.
5. Ensure alignment with security governance, secret management, access control, and compliance requirements.
