Job Title: Lead UI Developer

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead UI Developer with deep expertise in pure React and TypeScript to lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance front-end applications for a healthcare domain client. This role requires strong ownership, architectural thinking, and hands-on development without reliance on heavy UI frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of modern, scalable UI applications using React 18 and TypeScript
Enforce best practices in functional components, hooks, and modern React patterns (no class components or legacy HOCs)
Architect and manage state using Redux and Redux Sagas (RTK familiarity required, but deep core Redux knowledge expected)
Build and maintain custom UI components (buttons, dropdowns, layouts, etc.) without third-party UI libraries (no MUI, AntD, Chakra, etc.)

Implement styles-in-JS using styled-components or @emotion/styled, including:

Theming and theme mapping
Responsive design patterns
Mobile-friendly components
Contribute to and guide frontend architecture layering, ensuring clean separation of concerns and scalability
Collaborate closely with backend, product, and UX teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions Take ownership of engineering decisions and guide junior developers
Identify, manage, and reduce technical debt while planning for long-term maintainability Ensure performance, accessibility, and security best practices are followed

Required Skills

Expert-level React 18 + TypeScript (pure React, no frameworks like Next.js)
Strong experience with Redux and Redux Sagas (deep understanding of how and why they work)
Solid experience creating custom component libraries from scratch
Proficiency in styled-components or @emotion/styled
Strong understanding of frontend architecture patterns and layering
Experience with React Router (latest data routing preferred)
Familiarity with monorepos (NX workspace is a big plus)
