Description: Our client is currently seeking a Systems Verification Technician II
About the Role The
Systems Verification Technician II plays a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of hearing aids, accessories, manufacturing software, fitting software, mobile applications, programmers, and related subsystems. This position involves executing verification tests, supporting product development, and contributing to technology improvements. The Technician II designation reflects demonstrated proficiency in core competencies and progression toward the next career level.
Responsibilities System Verification & Testing - Execute system verification tests following defined procedures.
- Document test configurations and results using established tools.
- Ensure system requirements are fully verified and traceable to test procedures.
- Conduct peer reviews of test results as needed.
- Identify and report test procedure gaps or inconsistencies using JIRA.
- Communicate and present test outcomes clearly to stakeholders.
Product Lifecycle Support - Prepare Alpha/Pilot devices using defined checklists.
- Partner with Systems Design and Verification Engineers during Alpha/Pilot and Beta studies.
- Support engineering teams during product ramp-up activities.
- Provide troubleshooting and issue-resolution support for existing products.
Issue Identification & Documentation - Document system-level technical issues with clear reproduction steps and configuration details.
- Provide timely updates on assigned issues within relevant tracking tools.
Participation in Reviews - Review system requirements, test plans, procedures, and results in preparation for review meetings.
- Offer concise, constructive feedback on test coverage and potential gaps.
General Technician Duties - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized lab environment.
- Track calibration methods, requirements, and due dates for equipment.
- Support procurement of parts and equipment.
- Contribute to process improvements and lean product development initiatives.
- Provide systematic, well-documented feedback on assigned tasks.
Minimum Qualifications - Minimum of a 2-year Electronic Technician degree/certificate or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in electronic design, testing, or manufacturing.
- Experience in regulated environments (medical or military) preferred.
- Familiarity with hearing instrument or accessory design, development, and testing is desirable.
Technical Knowledge - Understanding of microelectronic circuits and components (basic to intermediate).
- Proficiency with common business software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Knowledge of microelectronic product development processes.
- Familiarity with bench-top test instrumentation and control.
- Understanding of verification methodologies.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (basic to intermediate).
- Familiarity with ANSI, IEC, and homologation standards is a plus.
