Job Overview

TEKsystems is looking for an experienced Electronic Security Service Technician to handle routine and emergency service calls. You will troubleshoot, repair, and replace security equipment with minimal supervision. This role also includes supporting customers and helping train junior technicians.

What You'll Do

Service & Repair

• Respond to routine and emergency service calls.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace malfunctioning security equipment.
• Perform system testing and verify signal functionality.

Customer Support

• Provide professional, high-quality customer service.
• Teach customers how their systems operate.

Team Support

• Coach and train less experienced technicians when needed.

Daily Responsibilities

• Maintain proper inventory of tools and equipment in your work vehicle.
• Use technical resources and materials to complete tasks efficiently.
• Document all work performed and hours worked.
• Submit required reports and paperwork on time.
• Complete additional assigned projects.
• Maintain strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Vocational Training.
• 3+ years of experience in electronic security service.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for:
  • Intrusion systems
  • Fire alarm systems
  • CCTV
  • Intercoms
  • Access control
• Knowledge of local and national security/electrical codes.
• Skilled with test equipment (multimeters, battery analyzers, decibel meters).
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screening.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.

Physical Requirements

You must be able to:

• Stand, walk, sit, twist, climb, kneel, crawl, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in tight or elevated spaces (attics, crawl spaces, ladders, scaffolding, above ceilings).
• Use full range of vision (close, distance, color, depth).
• Work a full-time, flexible schedule with on-call availability.
• Travel on short notice.
• Drive for extended periods, day or night.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
