Job Title: LabVIEW Test Engineer
Location: Minnesota 55112 United States (Hybrid)
Duration: Contract to hire
A test engineering role with a LabVIEW and electrical engineering background involves developing and maintaining automated test systems to ensure product quality and reliability. This requires strong electrical engineering fundamentals, programming skills in LabVIEW, experience with hardware, and abilities in troubleshooting, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Daily tasks include writing test scripts, analyzing test results, documenting procedures, and working with design and manufacturing teams.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test systems: Use LabVIEW to create and update software for testing products, often involving the control of instruments and data acquisition.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software: Identify and resolve issues in both the physical test setup and the LabVIEW test scripts.
- Create test scripts and procedures: Write automated test scripts and document the procedures for the tests being performed.
- Analyze test results: Examine the data gathered from tests to identify defects, performance issues, and trends.
- Collaborate with teams: Work with other engineering disciplines, such as electrical and software, to ensure test coverage aligns with project goals.
- Document and report: Generate detailed reports on test findings and ensure all testing follows established quality standards and safety protocols.
Essential skills and qualifications
