CDW W2 Contract Employee
CDW is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented IT Asset Management Technician to support onsite asset handling and tracking in Northbrook, IL. This role focuses on receiving, unpacking, tagging, documenting, and tracking IT equipment to ensure accurate inventory and lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, open, and inspect incoming IT equipment and shipments
- Tag, label, and record assets in asset management or inventory systems
- Track asset details including serial numbers, model information, and assigned status
- Prepare equipment for deployment, storage, or distribution as needed
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure assets are handled safely
- Assist with asset audits, reconciliations, and inventory counts
- Coordinate with IT teams to support asset deployment and return processes
Qualifications
- Previous experience in IT asset management, inventory control, warehouse, or technical support preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented processes
- Basic computer skills and comfort working with inventory or tracking systems
- Ability to lift and move equipment as required
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work onsite full-time
