SAP Logistics Enterprise Architect

We are seeking a SAP Logistics Enterprise Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of the end-to-end SAP logistics and supply chain architecture across the enterprise landscape. This is a strategic role focused on aligning SAP logistics capabilities with business transformation goals, scalability needs, and modern technologies such as cloud, AI, and real-time analytics.

The role combines deep SAP logistics expertise with enterprise-level architectural leadership, supporting large-scale SAP programs such as ECC to S/4HANA migrations, greenfield S/4HANA implementations, and global rollouts. The architect works closely with supply chain leadership, enterprise architecture teams, and senior stakeholders to deliver future-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and govern the enterprise SAP logistics architecture, covering Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Warehouse Management / Extended WM (WM/eWM), Transportation Management (TM / LE-TRA), and end-to-end supply chain integration.

• Define and maintain the target-state logistics architecture within SAP S/4HANA (or hybrid ECC/S/4 landscapes), aligned with global templates, enterprise standards, and best practices.

• Lead architecture assessments, gap analysis, and logistics transformation roadmaps, including brownfield/greenfield migrations, cloud adoption, and integration with non-SAP systems (e.g., WMS, TMS, IoT).

• Partner with business leaders, process owners, and functional teams to translate business objectives into scalable, secure, and resilient SAP solutions.

• Provide technical and architectural leadership across design, build, testing, and deployment phases, ensuring solution quality and adherence to architectural guardrails.

• Establish and chair Logistics Design Authority forums, defining principles, reusable patterns, and governance models.

• Drive standardization, optimization, and innovation across logistics processes, leveraging embedded analytics, real-time insights, predictive capabilities, and automation.

• Evaluate emerging SAP solutions and industry trends (e.g., SAP TM on S/4HANA, EWM innovations, SAP BTP extensions) and recommend adoption strategies.

• Ensure performance, scalability, security, and integration integrity across complex, multi-system landscapes.

• Mentor solution architects and senior consultants; contribute to architecture best practices, documentation, and capability development.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.

• 15+ years of SAP experience, including 5–7+ years in enterprise or solution architecture roles.

• Strong, hands-on expertise in SAP Logistics modules: SD, MM, WM/eWM, TM / LE-TRA, with deep understanding of integrated supply chain processes.

• 5+ years of SAP S/4HANA experience, including ECC-to-S/4 migrations, Fiori UX, HANA impacts, and logistics simplification items.

• Proven experience delivering large-scale SAP programs (global rollouts, transformations, greenfield/brownfield implementations).

• Solid knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, SAP Enterprise Architecture methodology) and SAP integration patterns (CPI, APIs).

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and SAP cloud offerings such as RISE with SAP and SAP BTP.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• SAP certifications in Logistics modules (S/4HANA SD, TM, EWM), SAP HANA, or SAP Enterprise Architecture.

• Experience with Agile / DevOps delivery models and SAP ALM tools (SAP Cloud ALM, Focused Run).

• Knowledge of adjacent domains such as FI/CO integration, PP, Ariba/SRM, SAC analytics, or group reporting.

• Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
