As a
Data Center Technician (Break/Fix), you'll be on the front line keeping Microsoft's cloud infrastructure healthy and available. You'll troubleshoot, repair, and replace hardware components across servers, network devices, and supporting systems, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to change control and security policies. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and mission-critical-ideal for technicians who thrive on diagnosing issues, executing repairs, and collaborating with operations and engineering teams.
We are hiring across experience levels-
Entry (T1), Mid (T2), and Senior/Lead (T3)-with scope and autonomy aligned to your skills and growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities (All Levels)- Break/Fix Execution: Diagnose and resolve hardware faults on servers, storage, and networking equipment (e.g., DIMMs, CPUs, SSDs/HDDs, NICs, PSUs, fans, motherboards, network transceivers).
- Incident Response: Triage tickets, perform on-site interventions, and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and change controls.
- Replace & RMA: Perform parts swaps, manage RMAs, track inventory usage, and update CMDB/asset systems.
- Validation & Return-to-Service: Run POST/BIOS checks, firmware validation, BMC/iDRAC/iLO health, OS handoff checks, and confirm nodes rejoin clusters/pools.
- Cabling & Connectivity: Replace/label patch cables, verify link integrity, and support Layer 1 troubleshooting.
- Quality & Compliance: Follow ESD, safety, and security protocols; maintain accurate documentation and ticket notes.
- Collaboration: Partner with NOC, Network Engineering, Server Engineering, and Logistics teams for escalations, coordinated maintenance, and fleet health initiatives.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
