Client is seeking a highly skilled engineer with deep expertise in Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and API design. Experience with Java is a significant plus.

Responsibilities
Design and implement complex features and systems.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to the broader engineering team.
Participate in architectural discussions and long-term technical planning.
Perform code reviews and uphold high standards of code quality.
Mentor junior engineers and support their growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of professional software development experience.
Python: Strong expert proficiency with Python 3.11+, including modern idioms, type hinting, dataclasses, threading limitations, and multi-process architectures.
Django: Deep experience with Django s architecture, ORM, and templating systems. Familiarity with Django Ninja and Pydantic is strongly preferred; experience with frameworks like Flask may be considered.
API Design: Ability to translate product and UI requirements into secure, performant, well-structured APIs. Strong preference for candidates experienced with OpenAPI design; familiarity with Pydantic-generated specs is a plus.
PostgreSQL: Skilled with JSON fields, full-text search, complex constraints, and query optimization; adept at ensuring ORM database alignment in high-performance, high-scale environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Deep understanding of database systems and data modeling.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure).
Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
Experience leveraging AI tools, frameworks, or methodologies to enhance development workflows or system capabilities.
