Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Configuration & DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and maintain cloud configuration, release, and infrastructure management processes across AWS environments. This role is responsible for ensuring highly available, secure, compliant, and well-governed cloud platforms through automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), patch management, backup strategies, and certificate governance.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Configuration & Infrastructure Automation
- Design, implement, and maintain configuration management processes, policies, and standards for AWS environments.
- Build and enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of AWS resources (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, ACM).
- Manage and optimize multiple environments (Development, Test, Staging, Production) to ensure consistency, security, and reliability.
Release Engineering & AWS DevOps
- Support CI/CD pipelines using the AWS Code Suite (CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline).
- Partner with DevOps teams to support releases, deployments, rollbacks, configuration updates, and environment readiness.
Backup, Patching & Compliance
- Design and maintain automated AWS backup solutions aligned with data retention and compliance requirements.
- Implement automated patching processes to maintain security and compliance posture.
- Perform periodic audits of configurations, patch levels, backup integrity, and certificate compliance; recommend and implement improvements.
Security & Certificate Management
- Manage SSL/TLS certificate installation, renewal, rotation, and validation across AWS services.
- Ensure secure communication configurations and alignment with applicable security standards and regulations.
Documentation, Governance & Enablement
- Maintain clear documentation for configuration baselines, IaC standards, Terraform modules, and environment changes.
- Provide guidance and knowledge sharing on Terraform, AWS best practices, backup strategies, patch automation, and certificate management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of configuration management experience, including:
- Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, ACM).
- Experience with cloud backup solutions and automated patching.
- Expertise in SSL/TLS certificate management and cloud security best practices.
