Role: Informatica Data Catalog Developer

Location: Torrance, CA (Onsite - only locals)

Duration: 6+ months contract

Job description:

We are seeking an experienced Informatica Data Catalog Developer to design, develop, and implement enterprise-wide data catalog and metadata management solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in creating and implementing Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) and supporting data governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) solutions
Create and maintain data catalogs, metadata repositories, and lineage
Integrate data catalog with multiple data sources (databases, data warehouses, cloud platforms)
Configure scanners and manage metadata ingestion
Collaborate with data governance, data engineering, and business teams
Support data discovery, data classification, and impact analysis
Implement best practices for metadata management and data quality
Troubleshoot and optimize Informatica EDC performance
Document technical designs and implementation processes

Required Skills & Qualifications
6+ years of overall IT experience
4+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC)
Strong experience in creating/building data catalogs from scratch
Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and data governance
Experience with Informatica PowerCenter / IDQ
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
Understanding of ETL, data warehousing concepts
Excellent communication and documentation skills
