IT Project Manager (Contract)
Location: Hybrid - Rosemead, CA (Onsite Tuesday & Wednesday)
Contract Type: 18-Month W2 Contract
Pay Rate: $90-$100/hour (W2)
Schedule: Full-time, onsite
About the Role
We are supporting a large, regulated utility organization in Southern California that is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee a critical technology workstream. This role will lead cross-functional coordination across product vendors, service vendors, and internal business and technology teams, ensuring successful delivery across multiple technology domains.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on project manager who thrives in complex enterprise environments, is comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, and can adapt quickly in a fast-moving, operational setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and oversee the full technology workstream from planning through execution
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project plans using Microsoft Project
- Coordinate and track progress across multiple internal technology teams and vendors
- Facilitate collaboration between product vendors, service vendors, and internal business partners
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise weekly status reports for operational teams and leadership
- Manage dependencies, risks, issues, and change control across the program
- Support and coordinate activities related to Service Transition Planning and Support
- Engage with Quality Design and Architecture Review teams to ensure compliance with established processes
- Quickly adapt to changing priorities and proactively drive projects forward
Required Qualifications
- 7-12 years of experience in IT Project Management within large enterprise environments
- Strong project and process management skills
- Hands-on experience building and managing project plans in Microsoft Project
- Familiarity working within structured, regulated environments and defined internal processes
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple technology workstreams
