We are seeking a technical contributor and team leader within its corporate data and reporting function. This role plays a critical part in supporting enterprise reporting, BI initiatives, and data governance as executive demand for analytics and Tableau visualizations continues to grow. This is a
lead-level data role with hands-on responsibility for ETL development, reporting, database design, and data migration, while also providing day-to-day leadership for a small team of analysts.
What You'll DoAs a Data Analyst II, you'll design, build, and maintain SSIS-based ETL pipelines, optimize SQL for reporting and BI dashboards, and support enterprise reporting solutions using
SSRS, Tableau, and Power BI. You'll lead data initiatives including
data mapping, migration, and database design, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance. You'll support the
full lifecycle of data projects, from requirements gathering and technical design through development, testing, and deployment, working within an
Agile/Scrum environment using
Azure DevOps. You'll also contribute to data governance efforts by helping build and maintain a
data catalog that supports data quality and usability across the organization. This role includes
technical leadership responsibilities, with oversight of a small team of 2-5 people depending on project needs. You'll collaborate closely with business stakeholders, including non-technical leaders, to translate analytics and reporting needs into scalable technical solutions-particularly as Tableau usage expands at the executive level. You will report to the
Data Administration Supervisor, but you are expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.
What We're Looking ForWe're looking for a technically strong, experienced data professional who can lead projects and people while staying hands-on.
Required experience includes:- Strong SQL expertise for querying, performance tuning, and reporting
- Hands-on experience building SSIS ETL pipelines
- Experience with SSRS reporting
- Strong Tableau visualization experience
- Experience leading large-scale data migration efforts
- Proven performance across the full data project lifecycle, from requirements through delivery
Additional qualifications:- Prior experience leading or mentoring small data teams (2-5 people)
- Comfortable interfacing with business and executive stakeholders
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Azure DevOps
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
- Exposure to database design and modeling concepts (PowerDesigner experience is a plus but not required)
Work Environment & BenefitsThis role is fully on-site in Raleigh, NC during the six-month contract period. Upon conversion to a full-time employee, the team follows a
hybrid model (3 days on-site per week).
Long-term stability and is one of the few organizations that still offers a

- A virtual one-hour interview with the Data Administration Supervisor, focused on deep technical discussion
- A final on-site interview with the data team
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr.
