Database Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Database Architect in Merrimack, NH.

Duties:
* As a Database Architect, you will work across Products, business units and enterprise technology teams to partner with business leaders, architecture, and engineering to influence our data strategy and deliver these foundational capabilities
* Responsible for developing IWMS domain knowledge, data architecture, data blueprints, hands on data design/modeling, data movement, integrations, Analytics driven data architecture/decisions

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree required
* 10+ years of professional technology experience with a minimum 5+ years of architecture experience in Data, Databases and Analytics and experience in Mainframe space is a plus
* Experience with data management practice including data integration, data governance & security, data warehousing, data analytics, data models, metadata management and data quality
* Experience in building prototypes, driving Pilot and PoCs, and exploring new solutions and options
* Experience working on RDBMS databases such as Oracle, Postgres SQL and Cloud databases such as Snowflake
* Experience working on distributed SQL database such as Cockroach, Yugabyte, etc.
* Experience working on low latency distributed database NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, Aerospike or Redis
* Experience developing application and data solutions using cloud platforms (AWS/Azure, AWS EKS, EMR, EC2, S3, etc.)
* Experience in Reporting and Business Intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
* Experience working with data engineers and data scientists to implement integrations, AI/ML models deployments and pipelines
* Solid understanding to various architecture and patterns such as API and Microservices architecture, Event Driven Architecture, client-server patterns, etc.
* Strong scripting and language knowledge with Python, Unix Shell or Java, etc.
* Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to analyze business domain, direction and problems, understand long term vision and risk in developing strategic technical solutions
* Ability to formulate Data Strategy, Conceptual Architecture and work with development teams to complete the strategy
* Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technology solutions

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
