Entry-Level Telecom Technician (Data Center)

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Level 1 Telecom Technician to join our team inside a fast-paced data center environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who may not have telecom experience but has a strong work ethic, is eager to learn, and has a background in physically demanding work.

What You'll Do

As a Level 1 Technician, you will support a variety of structured cabling tasks, including:

• Pulling and routing low-voltage cable throughout the facility
• Building, stacking, and drilling racks and cabinets
• Labeling and porting network equipment
• Assisting senior technicians with day-to-day installation and data center setup tasks
• Ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work area

This is hands-on work with plenty of learning opportunities for someone looking to build a career in telecom or data center operations.

• Ability to work a physically demanding job (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
• Willingness to learn and follow direction

Preferred Backgrounds (Not Required)

Candidates with experience in physically intensive or technical environments tend to do well in this role, such as:

• Construction labor
• General labor or warehouse work
• Electrical, mechanical, or low-voltage work
• Military experience
• Any job using hand and power tools

Top Skills for Success

• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Comfort with cabling or electrical wiring concepts
• General construction or installation experience
• Ability to work safely and follow best practices

Nice to Have

• Previous telecom or low-voltage experience is a plus, but not required
• Any exposure to structured cabling environments

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Ridgeville, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
