Job Description:
The HRIS Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of global Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Modernization program.
The HRIS Project Manager is a project management position focusing on the successful delivery of moderate to high risk HR projects. The PM is primarily expected to manage major HR modernization program by leveraging project management best practices, through leadership of Project Teams and by managing direct and indirect project stakeholders. The incumbent will work autonomously while reporting into HR Transformation Leader and partnering with HR functional leads and Systems Vendor on the planning and execution of HRIS project. The PM has a good understanding of HR, the best practices (science of project management) and in relationship building (art of project management) in support of effective delivery of their project assignments.
Overall Responsibilities
Develop and manage the "end-to-end" planning and execution of project plans in a manner consistent with the Enterprise Pipeline, project management best practices, and the use of project management supporting tools.
Effectively maintain, track and measure key project management success metrics related to scope, resources, schedule, budget, issues, risks, change control, and business outcomes. Acting as the Point-of-Contact (POC) for the project performance, providing updates and escalations to the HR Transformation Leader, Sponsor, Project Team and Stakeholders, and members of HR Leadership.
Demonstrate expertise in building and managing project schedules, understanding constraints and roadblocks/barriers, identifying potential risks and mitigation plans.
Understand the project financial reporting, explain variances, and propose recommendations for improvement.
Preparation and participation in partnership with the owner for project performance reviews including, updating project-related information, development of executive readout materials and responsibility for communicating project status.
Manage comprehensive written and verbal project communications including the creation and dissemination of status reports and ad hoc communications as defined by leadership and the communications plan agreed upon with the Project Sponsor and Owner.
Ability to be deployed as an "end-to-end" Project Manager on highly visible HR Transformation/Modernization project spanning over a variety of discipline areas and collaborate on sub-projects belonging to larger initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Lead end-to-end HRIS implementation/ Modernization projects.
Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
System Management
Oversee HR and related system configuration, integration, and data migration.
Ensure compliance with data security and regulatory standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
Facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Communicate project progress and updates to all relevant parties.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Understanding of end-to-end HR processes,
Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience in HRIS implementation or migration. Familiarity with major HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, Oracle HCM Cloud, UKG).
Knowledge of global HRIS configurations and multi-country compliance issues.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
PMP Certification - preferred
Minimum 8 -10 years of experience in HRIS and/or related domain directly managing moderately complex projects and evaluating project performance data
Expertise in the MS Office Product Suite, including Visio
Expertise in MS Project or other project tracking tools
Strong knowledge of project management scheduling processes and tools (WBS, Gantt)
Knowledge of agile project management tools (Jira) ; Knowledge of PPM tools (EPM, Clarity, Planview)

This is a Contract position based out of Princeton, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $88.00/hr.
