Lockheed Martin's Rotary and Mission Systems' C4ISR team is looking for a proven and experienced lead test engineer to support the Peace Krypton (PK) program.

THE WORK
As the Lead Test Engineer in this position, you will:
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive test plans, including test strategy, test design, and test scripts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, software engineering, and hardware engineering, to ensure that systems and products meet customer requirements and industry standards
Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test procedures, and test reports
Lead a team of test engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight to ensure that test activities are completed on time and to a high standard
Develop and maintain test environments, including test beds, test fixtures, and test tools
Be available and willing to travel internationally to support test events
Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand test requirements and ensure that test activities meet their needs
Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues
Develop and implement process improvements to increase test efficiency and effectiveness
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior test engineers, including training and mentoring
Participate in test process improvement initiatives, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes

WHO YOU ARE
An experienced Senior Test Engineer-Lead responsible for leading the development and execution of comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of the PK Ground and Air systems and products.
A candidate with a strong background in system test engineering (Software and Hardware), with expertise in test planning, test design, and test execution.
You will be responsible for leading a team of test engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that systems and products meet customer requirements and industry standards.
Available and willing to travel internationally to support test events and work closely with global customers and partners.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM related field
Minimum 10 years of experience in system engineering, with a focus on complex system design, development, and integration
Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
Strong technical expertise in system test engineering (Hardware and Software), including test planning, test design, and test execution
Experience with multiple test disciplines, including functional testing, performance testing, and security testing
Familiarity with test tools and technologies, including test automation frameworks and test management tools
Experience with test data management and test environment management
Available for international travel to support test events multiple times per year

Desired skills

Current CompTIA Security+ certification
Strong programming and scripting skills, including languages such as C# and PowerShell
Knowledge of DO-178C - Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification
Proven experience in leading and managing test teams, including setting goals, prioritizing tasks, and allocating resources
Experience with test process improvement, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes
Ability to develop and manage test budgets, including estimating costs and managing expenses
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including ISO 9001, IEEE 1012, and AS9100
Experience with virtual/converged systems and technologies

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $120,100 - $208,150. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
