As a member of the Service Management Office, your primary goal is application availability. You will proactively identify and resolve issues, train IT staff on AppDynamics usage, and collaborate with Cisco on platform support. In addition, you will maintain awareness of competing APM and observability solutions, ensuring Medline continues to take a best-in-class approach to monitoring.

This role is primarily remote, with on-site presence required 1 day per month.

    • Prepare and deliver regular reports on alerts, usage, and license consumption.
    • Manage vendor interaction, including Cisco support tickets.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of AppDynamics deployments and standards.
  • Application Availability & Incident Response
    • Work with the NOC and application teams to investigate incidents and restore service quickly.
    • Serve as the SME for diagnosing application performance issues using AppDynamics.
    • Provide training and coaching to IT teams on effective use of AppDynamics.
  • Monitoring Strategy & Continuous Improvement
    • Maintain working knowledge of competing APM/observability solutions (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, LogicMonitor, OpenTelemetry).
    • Evaluate tools and industry trends to recommend improvements to Medline's monitoring strategy.
    • Support integrations with Twilio and Power Automate for alerting workflows.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years managing a large-scale AppDynamics/APM environment.
  • 3+ years of operations experience in a fast-paced IT environment.
  • Strong problem investigation and resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management practices (change, incident, and problem management).
  • General knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration.
  • Experience writing SQL queries.
  • General knowledge of Azure Cloud and IT networking concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Cisco AppDynamics certification.
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
  • Experience with other monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, LogicMonitor) and modern observability practices.
